What is cast glass?
We use metal ladles to pour molten glass into a sand mold we create from the original clay mold.
Are the glass keepsakes fragile?
The finished product is 3/4”thick glass. The keepsake is sturdy and designed to last a lifetime and will not break easily if handled or accidentally dropped.
What if I make a mistake while taking the child's clay impression?
If a mistake is made, the non-toxic 100% potters clay can be rolled into a new flat slab. The impression can be redone as many times as needed as long as the clay is still wet. If the clay gets too hard or damaged in shipment we will send a new kit at no charge.
Why is the impression done in clay?
We use the clay mold to create a sand mold we can then pour the glass into. Once you make the clay mold we do the rest.
Why is the finished handprint not an impression but is raised up on the surface?
Our mold-making process creates the finished product in a positive image rather than in an impression. This method helps the print stand out in the glass.
Can two prints be done on the same keepsake?
Yes, as long as they will both fit within the allowed area. Anything that goes beyond the size of the finished product will not show up on the keepsake.
How long does it take to receive the finished glass keepsake?
The average turn around time is 3-4 weeks. Please allow 4-5 weeks during peak seasons. Peak seasons are Christmas, Mother's Day and Father's Day.
What if the customer is not satisfied with the finished product?
Our goal is to providing customers with an artistic and lasting keepsake. Customer
satisfaction is key to the success of our product. We offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee for forever in glass keepsakes.
